Rescue Kitten Thriving

4 weeks ago today, one of our volunteers brought a rescue kitten to the gardens. He'd found it abandoned in a hen house and couldn't take it home (dog, doesn't like kittens).

Another volunteer did. She took it home.

Vet said the kitten was a barely two-week old female... sadly with a virus and a nasty eye infection. For a moment, it looked a bit touch and go... but now she's thriving!

See for yourself - check out the album below.

Turns out... she's called Chook - after her very inauspicious beginnings. It's a cute name and way easier that WaiComGar which was our (pretty lame) suggestion.

Waicomgar Chook? Anyone? No.

Still, we love a come-together success story! Huge shout out to all our wonderful volunteers! We think you're awesome - each and every one!
