New Website

Spring has sprung and we've been busy behind the scenes too. We have a whole bunch of initiatives, we're excited to share... the first of which is this brand new website! It's still a work in progress but it's definitely coming up roses. Watch this space and sign up for the latest so you don't miss any of the excitement. Don't forget we have our regular working bees, every Wednesday from 1-3pm. Bring some gloves and your gumboots and join our amazing group of gardening volunteers.

Thanks New Worlds Oamaru!

The Oamaru New Worlds (South Hill and Northside) have been donating their surplus Little Gardens to the Waitaki Community Gardens and our Kids Growing programme. Check out these smiles! School starts again next week and we'll be there with even more New World Little Gardens to share. Don't forget - the important thing is to get your seedlings in the ground and give them a little love. Yummy fresh, home-grown produce - awesome! My Little Garden Growing Rap Got my little garden and it’s good to go I put it on the sill and I watch it grow When it’s big enough it goes in the ground A bit of extra care makes it tall or round My little garden’s got heaps of will Gotta get it in the ground and off

New World Little Gardens Competition

New World's Little Gardens are coming to a school near you! And you get a chance to win spot prizes (yes!) by growing your seedlings... and getting them in the ground! You just need to take a photo of your New World Little Garden seedling in its pot, and another of it in the ground. Upload your photos to our Facebook page with the hashtags #NWNorthside and #KidsGrowing to be in to win spot prizes every week. The competition runs 'til 5th November 2017... so get growing! #Gardening #Competition #KidsGrowing #NWNorthside
